Olavur Ellefsen, MBA
ICT Experimentation & On-line Simulation

Expertise: development of simulation-based training concepts, e-learning & e-training, serial entrepreneurship in high-tech

Industries: mobile telecom & Wi-Fi, software, training & coaching, oil & gas, e-government

Olavur is the chairman of the Faroese IT Industry Association, which has all Faroese IT companies as members, and is one of the directors and board members of the innovative Bitland Enterprise, which aims to make the Faroe Islands the European Centre of ICT Excellence and Experimentation.

He has founded and co-founded a number of IT and telecom companies.
Examples include an outsourcing, training and software development company, a company providing WiFi access in Tórshavn (capital of the Faroe Islands), and KALL, the second largest telecom operator in the Faroe Islands.

He is currently CEO of Simprentis, an innovative world-wide provider of courses based on computer simulations. Examples include "Dynamics of Project Management" and "Risks and Challenges of Petroleum Exploration".

He has a Masters degree in Business Administration and Computer Science from Copenhagen Business School (1994).
