Strategic Practices Group
Innovation Alliance Founding Member | Western US

Bottom line results, based on a decade of research and experience

Strategic Practices Group (SPG) was founded on the conviction that human and social factors strongly determine the success or failure of strategic business initiatives, and that they can be managed and leveraged, through the use of appropriate techniques and methods.

By providing organizations with practical tools, SPG aims to help its clients avoid making the mistakes brought to light by past research, and instead to utilize their human and social capital for innovation and competitive advantage.

SPG is intended to bring to life cutting-edge business practices in a reliable, repeatable, and sustainable way.

Founded at the Institute for Research on Learning, where innovative ideas like the “community of practice” originated, the Strategic Practices Group aims to put research insights into practice. This has meant going beyond research to develop principles of implementation that leverage human and social factors in concert with technology and physical infrastructure.

SPG maintains working alliances with the Core Members of BraveBrains Innovation Alliance to broaden its offerings and capabilities.

SPG experts recently contributed to the Fuji-Xerox Knowledge Dynamics Initiative, and have also collaborated with leading design firms including IDEO to deliver comprehensive client solutions involving workspace and communication design.
